OLAP Enablement

Essatto comes bundled with an Oracle® 11g Enterprise Database which in turn offers both relational and multidimensional (OLAP) data structures. Essatto is an ideal solution in cases where users require OLAP for Microsoft® Excel outputs from Oracle® eBusiness Suite. Essatto offers;

- Direct Excel out through inbuilt MDX Provider

eBusiness to Excel

Essatto enables data warehousing and data staging for Microsoft® Excel based reporting and analysis directly from the underlying database. Spreadsheets are an international standard for numerical data analysis and Essatto solves the common pain is the process of getting the data from source into the spreadsheet for analysis and reporting.

Native OLAP

OLAP in a standard Oracle® environment is not pre-enabled and requires configuration and building of cubes. Standard process is; 1) creation of required staging tables & views to facilitate reporting, 2) creation of OLAP cubes with required dimensionality and extract, transform & load to aggregate data, 3) creation of required hierarchies, 4) roles and user privileges, 5) configure Object Security and 6) rollout, user testing & training.

As Essatto comes pre-built with OLAP the above steps are not necessary.
